The first book in the Adjective series is Colors. Upcoming books will include: emotions, attributes, and descriptive adjectives presented in groups of 10 pairs of opposites (ie: happy- mad, tall-short, rough-smooth). Each book will present the concept with pictures, the sign and word, with appropriate activities to practice. In the kindergarten level, simple sentences will be introduced and practiced.
The Infant “Color“ curriculum introduces large, full page pictures and signs for 10 colors. It includes the English and Spanish words. All directions are written in both English and Spanish for parents. The goal is to identify the sign for each of the 10 colors. It includes: (1) a Color Book section with objects, animals or boxes to color. (2) a Matching section giving an opportunity to match color to color, sign to sign, and sign to color. It is reproducible – if you have access to a color copier.
"Adjective” Series — Color (Infant)
Using these books children will learn to identify, color, and spell 10 colors. Activities include coloring, matching, drawing, cutting & pasting. Various worksheets and activities will help students practice what they’ve learned. Spanish, English, and ASL throughout the book!
*-The former Grade Level indicators of Infant, Pre-school and Kindergarten have been changed to Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced, respectively, because this facilitates their use in higher grade level classrooms.
